MAYNELL
This project entailed the complete refurbishment & interior design of a 3-bedroom 1930's terraced house in Hackney, as well as the addition of a dormer loft conversion - upgrading it to a 4-bedroom, 2 bathroom property.
The clients preferred a contemporary twist on an art-deco feel for the aesthetic, but with all the mod-cons you'd expect of a modern house. As such, the majority of the interior draws on two main feature colours - navy blue and teal green - accompanied by softer secondary colours, with pastel greys, pinks and greens. These colours are matched with brushed gold or copper fittings and trims, as well as natural oak flooring and mangowood units.
The exterior of the property also received a modest upgrade, with new mid-grey roofing tiles and a complete white re-paint of the walls, so that the light-grey rendered dormer extension would seem like a subtle and sleek addition.
